Following George Osborne’s announcement in his July 2015 Budget that he wanted to look at the way that pensions are taxed – launching a consultation process at the same time – Savanta ComRes worked with Legal & General to understand public attitudes on this topic and shape its response to the consultation.
Our specialist financial services team worked with Legal & General to develop sophisticated questions which explored views of the current Exempt-Exempt-Tax (EET) system of pensions taxation as well as a potential alternative Tax-Exempt-Exempt (TEE) system.
The results of our research played a crucial role in underpinning Legal & General’s official submission to the Government’s consultation, and also supported the company’s wider PR activities on this topic, such as an article on the CEO’s blog.
