- While more than five in six (86%) respondents were aware that their city region has an elected mayor, less than half (44%) of all respondents are able to correctly name the mayor of their city.
- Approximately one in five respondents say health care provision (22%) and housing (19%) should be the most important priority for politicians in their city at the moment.
- Three in five (58%) respondents from across the five city regions say the Mayor should have more direct responsibility over providing affordable housing. Respondents are then most likely to say they believe their Mayor should have more direct responsibility over bus services (50%) and local trains (45%).
