- Almost three quarters of disabled adults report having stopped working due to their health condition or disability (73%) – of which a quarter (26%) say they only stayed in work for 6 months or less before developing this
- The majority (69%) of disabled adults who are currently, or have previously, received Access to Work support say this took more than three months to be approved
- A fifth (20%) of disabled adults who have requested flexible working hours from their employer say this adjustment was not made
- Just under a fifth (17%) of disabled adults applying for jobs in the past five years say their employer withdrew their job offer as a result of their disability and 13% say their interview invitation was withdraw because of the same reason
- Two fifths (39%) of disabled adults who have applied for jobs in the past five years say they have felt discriminated against because of their disability
