A majority (57%) of those who say they have seen or heard health and wellbeing information via medical professionals in the last six months say this is the source they trust the most (ranked first).
Over seven in ten agree they often hear contradictory health advice through the media and struggle to know what to believe (71%), and think each media channel has its own agenda, promoting health stories which it believes (73%).
One in five (20%) British adults say they rarely or never double check whether information about health and wellbeing they read is correct.
